Dll injections require a server client for MW3, which means you'll need an active internet connection. This doen't mean the AI won't work properly, it just means they'll be dumb as all hell which would make playing against them pretty boring, sort of like RSE's old AI, if you're an OG.ģ).

While there are more accessible functions outside of Infinity that are used in base game, because MW3's source code has'nt been leaked, you'd just have just have to guess IW's naming scheme to utilize the functions in the dll. They would only be able to perfom the basic actions provided by Infinity, which are'nt all that great for developing AI that could be compared to that of RSE's bot mod. Even if the waypoints could be created, the functionality for the bot's AI would be very limited. (Of cause including the routes bots could take for each waypoint, which may as well be programmed in the making of each waypoint.)Ģ). It would take years to make an entire waypoint library using the prior methoods, and that's not an exaggerated guess. You'd either have to rely on using top-down pictures of each map and a formula for generating a scale based off of the game's engine's measurement system (To provide accurate coordinates.), or using no clip on each map and a server console to locate coordinates, for plotting waypoints for the bots to use. to use for plotting coordinates (Which plays a major role in waypointing). The problem is, although it's possible, it's incredibly complicated, as there's no devkit provided by I.W. Line of sight programming for bots is also possible via this methood. With the use of InfinityScript, waypoints can be made by using the vector3D functions provided by Infinity. Click to expand.I've just discovered that with the current tools the MW3 community has developed for modding, it's definately possible to make functional waypoints just using server-injected dlls, but it's incredibly tedious and time consuming to do so, and I personally don't think anyone would have that sort of time in their life for creating a mod for an old game.
